Welcome

A considered stay, two minutes from the water

Victoria Cottage sits within easy reach of Mudeford Quay, tucked into a quiet corner of the Dorset coast where the light seems to last longer and the pace slows without trying. It has been put together with the same care you'd expect from a small boutique hotel — nothing loud, nothing left to chance.

Inside, soft neutrals, natural materials and generous light give every room a settled, unhurried feel — a place designed to be lived in slowly, whether you're here for a long weekend or a longer escape.

The details, considered

The small things — the finishes, the light, the quiet corners — are what make a stay feel considered rather than convenient.

Mudeford, Dorset

A quiet stretch of the Dorset coast

Mudeford Quay and its famously colourful beach huts sit a short stroll from the cottage, with Hengistbury Head and its sweep of sand and heathland just beyond. The harbour is lively without being loud — small boats, local seafood, and views out toward the Isle of Wight on a clear day.

Christchurch's historic priory and quay are a few minutes further on, and the wider Dorset and New Forest coastline opens up from there — ideal for slow exploring rather than ticking off a list.

“Excellent cottage with parking for two cars & lovely garden to relax in. There was a notable lack of storage space for groceries, which could easily be remedied by repurposing the large kitchen cupboard used to store mops etc, avoiding overflow onto work surfaces. We had six adults but had there been eight there would have been insufficient storage for clothes due to a main wardrobe being padlocked.”

“We spent a wonderful two weeks at Victoria Cottage. The house is beautifully decorated and clearly much loved by its owners. Masses of space inside and out, with a huge garden including a good bbq…”

“We all loved Victoria Cottage. It was so cosy and homely considering how cold it was outside being the New Year. There was 5 adults and 3 children and so much space for everyone. Would love to return in the warmer months to make use of the outdoor space, which is equally as big. Excellent beaches and walks. A good time had by all.”

“Victoria Cottage was perfect for a last-minute pre-Easter holiday for our family group — there were only five of us in the end as school terms did not coincide. The cottage was very light, very comfortable and extremely spacious…”

“Victoria Cottage is a lovely home with ample space and a delightful garden. The chilled vibe you get from relaxing in the conservatory is a highlight. You’re a very short walk from a pub and coffee shop, and Mudeford Quay (with shops, cafe, pub and water sports) is only 15 minutes’ walk away. A lovely spot to enjoy the coast and New Forest from.”
